Disassociation Technique:
The Ego's are triggered from the vessel "Jes". In a disassociation technique Jes calls "Controlled-Disassociation".
Unlike pure Disassociation disorder commonly called Multiple Personality Disorder, the Egos are triggered by carefully selected music that connects a trigger from the vessel to the Ego of choice. Those triggers are memories of trauma, high emotions or anything that is similar to the Ego's personality. Cotton Candy is the hardest Ego to channel and very rarely has been in "Full Character" in public and if so no more then 5 to 10 minutes. To Accurately channel Miss Candy first a technique using masochism (choking, slapping, hitting) to oneself must be performed to trigger the disastrous story of Dr. Kurizuki being transformed into Miss Cotton Candy. Dark music that put's Jes back into a state of prior trauma is repeated until a "glazed effect" is created. The vessel must take her personal trauma imagery and alternate it with the Ego's personal trauma imagery. Back and forth the images are used until the vessel feels in true form. At times, when live, you will see Cotton Candy choking herself to maintain in character when slipping back to vessel. From there, dark music is replaced with high energy music that Cotton Candy gravitates to. The vessel then slowly puts on the wig, costume, and moves her body in sporadic and provocative movements such as twerking, booty shaking and masturbation until the Character is at her full energy. Unlike pure Disassociation Disorder all memories of personality switches are remembered, but due to its meditation-like qualities, the vessel must not be experiencing any outer source anxiety or the "switching" process is much harder to accurately complete.
Due to constantly being on a time crunch, especially before shows, this point in the Egos careers has been hard for full channels. It is not too uncommon for the Egos to come and go no matter the outfit the vessel is sporting. Just because the vessel looks like Cotton Candy doesn't mean the Ego is living inside it presently. As a crew who is seasoned in light and shadow work forms of healing we are no strangers to splitting, even if a layer deeper.
The two most channeled Egos Cotton Candy and The Contaminator both have shadow selves that appear slightly different in aesthetic to their usual mayhem.
Cotton Candy’s shadow “Blue Raspberry” is easily recognizable by her all blue hair. It is rumored that when full blue all must run for their lives because this is when this chemical warfare weapon is at her most lethal. Even if number out 98 % of the time certain actions from others can trigger her to “attack mode”. Very few can escape Miss Candy when she turns blue but it’s rumored for whatever reason that @isasgottaholdonyou can ground Candy in seconds. Hmm why is that?
